Emergency Shelter

Did you know that the Stillwater Area Community Shelter is a Red Cross Partner Shelter? That means that if there ever was a natural disaster, such as a flood, hurricane, ice storm, snow storm ect. and it displaced residents from their homes the Stillwater Area Community Center would open as a General Population Shelter.

Please note, SACC is not a shelter before a storm occurs, and if we do open as a shelter after an event the Town of Stillwater  Emergency Response Committee will notify residents.

SACC has stored cots, blankets, comfort kits and water for anyone that may need to use the shelter.

We do not allow pets in the shelter but the Emergency Response Committee has plans to use the bus garage as a pet shelter.

STAY CONNECTED! The Saratoga County Emergency Services is working to increase awareness and participation of their mass emergency notification registration page here in the County of Saratoga.  They are asking residents and businesses alike to register their cell and/or VoIP phone number in their NEW emergency notification database, which will allow them to notify you of emergencies in your respective areas.   The data collected will ONLY be used for emergency notification purposes.

This program replaces the current “Reverse 911” program Hyper-Reach.
