The Town Summer Recreation Program will run from July 2 – August 10, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This is for children entering 4th grade to age 14 who are Stillwater residents. Cost is $30/week for first child, $25/week for second. You can choose specific weeks as space allows. There’s a 40 child maximum, so come early on May 19 to get a spot. SACC’s School Age Child Care Program Offers an affordable wrap-around program with extended hours, for your convenience.

New Social Get-Together Program for Seniors!

On Friday, May 25, 2012 the Village of Stillwater and the Stillwater Area Community Center are proud to announce our NEW Senior Socializing Program. The program will be held on the last Friday of each month from11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Stillwater Area Community Center. Remember the senior program T.I.L.T.? This would be a sister program of it. Join us for some good company, play cards or a board game and make a craft! Bring your knitting or crocheting. Come meet our team of volunteers, Donna Bove, Ellen Vomacka and Judy Wood-Shaw, just to name a few. A light lunch will be served along with some yummy desserts. New Program! – Journalism and Art Group for Middle and High School Students

Calling all Stillwater middle and high school writers, journalists, photographers, artists, bloggers, video makers, and web designers: There’s a new group forming where you can practice your skills and share your talent. It will be the new voice of young adults in Stillwater. Together we will print, publish and share your work.

Check out the School Age Child Care Summer Program Calendar here. The program runs for 9 weeks and begins June 25th and ends August 24th. This program is licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. Children entering K-6th grade are eligible to enroll regardless of residence. They offer a very flexible daily rate for those who do not need full time care. Zumba and Zumba Toning with Sarah

SACC’s licensed Zumba instructor Sarah Bacon is adding another great workout with less jumping, called Zumba Toning. The emphasis is still on dance and cardio, but the toning sticks help add definition and burn lots of calories. Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m.

Zumba with Sarah continues on Wednesdays and Fridays, 7-8 p.m., and Saturdays 8-9 a.m. $7/class.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny Enjoyed by Hundreds.

Over 320 people came out to enjoy a delicious breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 7. Volunteers filled about 2,000 eggs for the massive egg hunt. It took Stillwater children just 3 minutes to find them all. Thank you to all the volunteers and donors who made it possible, including the Girls Scouts, National Honor Society students, Best Buy Saratoga Employees, McDonald’s of Mechanicville, and a score of the finest volunteers this side of the Hudson. Thank you also to photographer Melissa Kesterson, who donated her time to take photos of the Easter Bunny with children and families. Thanks also to Stillwater United Presbyterian Church for lending us their yard for the egg hunt. In July, Best Buy will donate $1,000 to SACC on behalf of their volunteers – so thank you Best Buy, in advance, for that generous donation. Happy Spring Everyone!
